Sluggish snakes emerge

Weary from hibernation:

April showers fall

Red roses in bloom

Sway with the winnowing wind:

Sparrows chirp in tune.

Silhouettes waver

As burning heather glimmers:

The harvest moon shines.

​

Poor robin redbreast

Cannot catch a worm today:

Jack Frost is in town
