STARS

How impudent! The hunter who reveals

Emphatically his whereabouts. A Lord

And master of the dark no cloak conceals:

Vainglorious Orion and his sword.

Enticed by colder climes, the polar bears

No Eskimo can touch, defiantly

Look down upon our world with icy stares.

Yet still, their outlines sparkle brilliantly.

But pointless is this braggadocio;

Outlandish studded belts and silver paws;

Do wolves accessorize or tigers glow

In neon lights to hunt and feast their jaws?

Ethereal celebrities of yore,

See how your luminance fades evermore.
