Roast potatoes, mashed potatoes,

Fried potatoes, chips,

Baked potatoes, boiled potatoes,

Many flavoured crisps:

If I could be a vegetable

(Though some might say I was),

I’d want to be a Brussels sprout

And not a spud because

Tatties are so versatile,

Even eggs know when they’re beaten,

And few of us like Brussels sprouts

So I might not get eaten.
