REFLECTION FROM APPLETREE BAY

Serenity abounds, as gentle waves

Are overlapping onto golden sand,

Where footprints never go of he who craves

The urbanism of the motherland.

Contented in my own society,

I venture forth to linger here awhile,

To bask in freedom from anxiety,

Thus body, mind and spirit reconcile.

How fortunate my bloodshot eyes could see

This hallowed arc of pure tranquillity,

Where deepest doubts and fears abandon me,

That I might reappraise my dignity.

As inner turmoil swiftly dissipates,

Inspired, this sybarite regenerates.
